Social Media Coordinator
Overview
Spherical is hiring a contract Social Media Coordinator to support our social media presence for a digital kit of tools supporting climate resilience in Los Angeles. This position is remote. The ideal candidate will have experience managing the social presence of an organization or product and will be confident in their organizational skills with regards to posting, reporting, and asking timely questions of subject matter experts to draft replies. Attention to detail is critical. We are only seeking current or former LA residents fluent in both English and Spanish at this time.

The Living Infrastructure Field Kit
What You'll Do
- Manage the Living Infrastructure accounts on Instagram and LinkedIn.
- Interact with other community accounts with replies and tags in accordance with Living Infrastructure’s strategic goals.
- Schedule and deploy Living Infrastructure posts in collaboration with the Creative and Marketing teams.
- Adhere to brand and style guidelines in written communication.
- Provide regular reports on social activity to the Marketing team, including noteworthy topics, trends, and stories.
- Collaborate with the Engagement and Marketing teams to field questions on our social channels.
- Contribute to a growing knowledge base of frequent topics encountered on our social channels with the Product, Marketing, and Engagement teams.
Experience
Nice to Have
- 1+ years of experience in social media marketing and/or community management.
- LA resident or former resident (familiarity with communities / issues local to Los Angeles, particularly with a focus on local climate adaptation).
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in friendly and relatable ways for laypeople.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly about new topics and ideas.
- Familiarity with any of the following sectors and communities: philanthropic funding, built environment practitioners, LA-based community benefit organizations.
- Previous experience with social media management tools (e.g.: Buffer, SocialPilot, Sendible).
- Relevant examples of previous work.
